October 18th/19th

So far, here's the roster:

  • Mutha: Green Mountain Marathon
  • tMail/Maddog: Unspecified Death March
  • g-$$$: Available and hot to trot
  • The MPM: Claims to be able to teleport to any event.
tMail's Plans:
The destination will be the Tripyramids we will spot a car at the trail head for Livermore and then ascend up the Tripyramids up the Sabbaday Brook Trail...based on my calculations it will be about 13.1 miles

We will NOT be going down the North Slide we will go down via the Pine Bend Brook Trail then hook up with the Scaur Ridge which runs into the Livermore.

Time and meeting place to be determined...

  5. I may be joining the pack. The marathon gig is seeming more and more uninteresting as the days go by.

  6. the marathon thing is kind of dumb. i'm not really motivated by anything other than the interest in putting endurance to the test, and frankly i'd rather hack out a few miles in the whites. as the day gets closer, i've found my motivation to be dropping precipitously and am also haunted by the very real possibility of suffering one or two weeks of no hiking due to aching joints.

i think what i really wanted out of that run was to see if it still left me with crippling joint pain - as of this morning, i really don't care to test that. my solo pemi last month left me with no bodily damage other than a "take a day off" kind of thing.

that said, i think instead i'd like to join y'all tomorrow.

maddog, if we left Danville by 7am we'll be in Lincoln by 8am. any chance you can stop by around 6:45?
