Muthaz you mentioned a hike this weekend what are the chances you can do it on Sunday?
ReplyDeleteI've got a dinner party at 5:30 about 1.5hr drive from my house. I'd have to be home by 3pm and unless we either start early or do a short hike that's not too likely. The PM was talking about tackling the Tri's. I'd have to check but of all the routes up, the shortest is 9.6 miles to hit both 4k peaks. See the link on the main page for Mohamed's excellent site.
ReplyDeleteHow soon you want to do them maybe we can hit them in early January as training for Bad Boy, rather than trying to force the trip in.....
ReplyDeleteI Can't do Sat...and iffy for Sunday. I'll check the f'in blog (provided muthaZ does not have to redo it once again) for updates.
ReplyDeleteI checked VFTT. There were a few Moosilauke TRs. The woman with the snowshoes posted one. I recall seeing her name on quite a few reports in the past, including a solo pemi loop.
I'm in.... he he he...
ReplyDeleteSaturday is okay for me. Sunday is a no go. If it happens it happens. I think the Tri's will be icy/crappy/nasty/fun.
No "trying new things out" this go around though! I am going to leave my little girl sneaker boots at home (and maybe wrap them up to give to Nate G for XMAS... along with that duece that I just took in a golden box!)
The dog was a bit sore on Sunday. He was most tender in teh rear end. Did one of you animals take advantage of him when I wasn't looking?
maybe i misunderstood when you said not to leave riree behind.
ReplyDeletewhat route are you thinking for the tri's? surely not north/south slide.
I went to EMS today to look at some packs how come we can't design something.....I do not understand what some of these companies are thinking when it comes to pack design....UGH!!!!
ReplyDeletei like buying packs on sale for that reason.
ReplyDeletei like my ems pack - which was on mega sale at the time, but it doesn't have pouches accessible while the pack is on and it's heavy. i always have complaints when i look at packs, but because of things like bungee cords, accessory pouches, etc., eventually you get your ultimate fighting machine pack.
i ain't afeerd o' no north slide. i say, let's do the tripyramid loop.
ReplyDeletetmail, any way you can make saturday?
muthaz let me see what i can do saturday the plan was to spend in christmas shopping with my girlfriend which in return would buy me and eternity of saturdays to do whatever.......question why the fuck are womens packs better than guys packs....anyone think of ever buying a womens pack?
ReplyDeletei didn't know there were gender specific packs. isn't that like gender specific hats? what's the deal? wider hip belts? longer sternum straps? tampon holders? what the frick?
ReplyDeleteI think it all has to do with torso probably, but all i know is that "their" packs have way more compartments have pockets on the hip belt....etc......etc I was looking on sierra trading post and backcountry.com
ReplyDeleteLowe Alpine has some good ones....i may get one i am metrosexual...
avoid pink w/ bows. other than that, do it up. unless somebody can give you a good anatomical reason not to. just watch for flowers and complimentary subscriptions to Oprah's magazine.
ReplyDeleteTrip Pics is a nice feature!!!
